Postseason Play(2007-2008) Playoffs/Championship Games/Super Bowl XLII

Is Ed Hochuli going to Officiate any of these Games :?:

NFC/AFC Wild-Card Games:

1) Washington Redskins VS Seattle Seahawks - Ed Hochuli more than likely not do this game since he has officitated both of these teams twice. Remember He & his crew just officiated the Seahawks in Week #17.

2) New York Giants VS Tampa Bay Buccaneers - This game is cutting it close, because Ed & his crew officiated the Buccaneers in Week #12 2007.

3) Jacksonville Jaguars VS Pittsburgh Steelers - Ed & his Crew could work this game.

4) Tennessee Titans VS San Diego Chargers - Ed & his Crew have already officiated the San Diego Chargers twice this year.

I am not sure of the Rules for Officials in the playoffs. Are they able to officiate the teams in the playoffs if they have officiated them twice in the Regular Season :?:

Remember there are 17 NFL Officating Crews:

=> 10 Postseason Games

=> 1 Super Bowl Game

=> 1 Pro Bowl Game

In all only 12 Crews work the Games after the Regular Season.

Becky, let's hope that Ed does not work this weekend and works the Cowboy's game next week. :D Or if he works the Cowboy's NFC championship game that is cool to. Happy New Year to you Becky, and ED, and his crew, and all NFL offcials, also to everyone here who is a fan of Ed.

Or is Ed and crew had a Patriots game that would be ok to because Randy MOss is always pushing off and never getting called, we all know that Ed and crew would not let him get away with that.

Hi Chris,

Happy New Year to you too :!: :D

I would not mind seeing Ed Hochuli officiate a Dallas Cowboy Postseason Game. I would try to get tickets to that game. My Cousin's wife works for the Ticket Company that handles the Cowboy tickets.

I also would love for the NFL to hold off & have Ed Hochuli Officiate the Super Bowl in 2011(Super Bowl XLV) in the new Dallas Cowboy Stadium in Arlington, Texas :!: :wink:

Moss has done that since day one at Minnesota, and almost never gets flagged.

Did you see the non-call on that grossly obvious PI call (pulled the guy over his back in end zone) in that Pats/Giants game? It was so bad that I've decided to blast it on my Official's Corner show (with the footage). And I'm going to keep the analysis going through the playoffs. FAR too many non-calls going on anymore, and at this level, it's inexcusable. Normally, I don't like to step on another's official's toes, out of respect if nothing else, but enough's enough.

One of my tenets in life is that one can usually tell more about a person by what they DON'T do or say vs. the opposite. Just like in Comm.
