1. Why was their no review on the Warner play with 5 seconds left? It looked like a fumble to me, but in the SB you always need to review it just to make sure.

2. Will someone explain to me why RTP was called on #58 of Arizona that was a horrible call. I am a let them play kinda guy and I believe that the NFL babies the QB to much as it is.

3. Is it just me or did they call alot more holding on Arizona? Pittsburgh was holding as well it just did not get called as much.

4. Mcaulay and crew have to enforce the rules, Harrison should have been ejected for throwing a punch why the defender was down. Harrison is the defensive player of the year so I bet you that is why he was not thrown out of the game. Your job is to enforce the rules it does not matter if it is the SB or Preseason game #1 a punch is an automatic ejection.

5. When Holmes caught the TD pass he used the ball as a prop, should have been a 15 yard penalty but it was not called. If T.O. or Chad Johnson had done that the 15 yard flag would have been thrown.

The play that cost Arizona the game was the INT for a TD prior to halftime.

The answers to all of your questions are the same: another very poorly biased SB officiated in heavy favor of Pittsburgh. Just like when they played Seattle.
This crew should've NEVER been in a SB, esp. that fat Ump. What a joke.
In a fair world, Pittsburgh is 0-2 in SBS the last few years.

Shades of the Cowboys--biggest cheaters (w/ help by poor poor refs) EVER!!

Well some of the questions got answered by Mike Pereira, on "Official Review".

MP said that on the final TD their SHOULD have been a flag for using the ball as a prop. and on the Warner play it SHOULD have been reviewed, but that Warner did fumble the ball.

In my opinion, Walt Anderson had a better season and should have worked the SB.

Can you recall a Superbowl which had particularly good officiating? Who was the referee?

I can think of plenty that were better.

Ed's come to mind of course (I think he's done two now...).

If my memory serves me correctly Mike Carey & crew did a good job with the PATS VS GIANTS SB.

It's not surprising that the members of this website are not only loyal "Ed" fans (thank you very much), but also very knowledgeable about the rules of the game. That being said, I'm certain your level of intelligence includes the fact that crews are picked not only by grades but with an impartial and fair process which allows an opportunity for the officials to gain experience of working playoff games.
