Ed's mistakes are just so much more visible b/c of his job. This guy is way too good, and way to professional to be down for long after this. If 99% of us did our jobs half as well as him we'd be farther along than we are.

I hate the fact that the wrong team won the game. In my mind that is the NFL's rules committee's problem way more than Ed's. They are the people who let play not continue over a whistle, which inevitably doesn't stop anything anytime the pigskin is dropped. Players will fight over that ball whether a whistle blows or not.

Ed. Don't take that game too hard. You are right, we depend on your peers as well as yourself to make quick decisions. But we of any intelligence know you will make mistakes! I feel good every time you come to ref my team's games (BROWNS!!!). You are more man than most anybody, and a better ref than all. We are so lucky to have you to watch over one of our favorite passions in life-Sunday football.
