Ok, I have just one thing to get off my chest about this supposed blown call. Was it a mistake? Yes, he made a mistake in his call however refs only have like 20 seconds to decide a call. To us that seems like plenty of time however when your in front of thousands of people, you can never have enough time. They have to go with the first judgement call that comes to mind basically. He is going through hell for this just on his own doing. Give the man a break and back off, its a freaking football game. Its not life or death people. He's still one of the best refs, if not the best ref, out there right now and should continue to referree games. Everyone makes a mistake, we're human.

Yes one of the best, if not the best. Everyone makes mistakes even you guys and me. I know I couldn't do any better and neither could anyone else really either. Man makes good/great calls for 19 years but yet when he makes 1 bad call everyone wants to lynch him. If you all want to sit and complain about him then I want you to go 19 years without making a mistake first then you can say something.

What makes Ed Hochuli the best is that until this weeks game, you NEVER, EVER heard anybody say he wasn't the best. In the world of officiating, the object is to NOT be remembered after the game.

Basically, Ed Hochuli is the best because he has never been (and never can be) called the worst, which you can't say about any other official in the NFL, NCAA, MLB, NHL, NBA, or any sport.

Thank you. Glad to see that others recognize his ability as an official and his lack of making bad calls.
